Chase Côté | baritone

24/25 at a glance...
In his 24/25 season, Chase most recently received an encouragement award for the National Society of Arts and Letters' Shirley Rabb Winston competition at the national level. For the D.C. district, he was awarded first place in the competition. In March, Chase sang the title role of Puccini's Gianni Schicchi for Art City Opera’s salon-style public read-through.
In January, Chase attended Castleton Festival as a vocal fellow, where he performed in a lieder concert and a scenes program as Don Giovanni. In October, he covered the baritone soloist in the Philadelphia premiere of Listen to the Earth for Temple University Concert Choir, a piece inspired by the Apollo 11 moon landing, composed by James Grant.
This past summer of 2024, Chase appeared as an emerging artist at Seagle Festival, where he performed the roles of Tommy Albright in Lerner and Loewe’s Brigadoon, and Masetto in Mozart’s Don Giovanni.
In the fall, Chase will be making his role debut as Count Almaviva in Le nozze di Figaro, with the Turner-Fischer Center at Louisiana State University
